When Your Mind Feels Stuck, Therapy Can Help You Move Forward
I work with anxiety, depression, overthinking, and perfectionism using practical, evidence-based approaches that help you change your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions.
Whether you’re dealing with constant worry, intrusive thoughts, low mood, or self-critical thinking patterns, I help you develop practical skills to respond differently and regain momentum in your life.

About Me
George J. Tyndall, LMSW, CCTP
I help individuals and families navigate anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, and unhelpful behaviors—especially when their minds feel stuck in loops they can’t turn off.
Based in Grandville, Michigan, I provide therapy for clients across West Michigan, including Grand Rapids and surrounding communities, as well as telehealth services throughout the state. Many of the people I work with are dealing with constant worry, racing thoughts, or the pressure to get everything “just right.” Therapy with me focuses on helping you change your relationship with those experiences so they no longer control your life.
My approach is grounded in mindfulness and acceptance-based therapy, combined with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Together, we work on building practical skills so you can respond differently to difficult thoughts and feelings—and move forward, even when anxiety is still present.
I bring over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and leadership in behavioral health and child and family services. I began my career as a therapist and, after many years in executive leadership roles overseeing large-scale systems of care across more than 30 states, returned to direct clinical work to focus on what matters most: helping people create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), my work is trauma-informed and grounded in a deep understanding of how past experiences shape present patterns. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with individuals across a wide spectrum of challenges, including complex and severe trauma. That experience equips me to help you stay steady and grounded, even when things feel overwhelming—so you don’t have to worry about whether what you’re bringing is “too much.”
I provide therapy through Alliance Counseling Group, serving clients in Grandville, Grand Rapids, and throughout West Michigan, with telehealth available across Michigan.
Change is part of the ride. You don’t have to fight it—you can learn how to move through it.
